Welcome to my web said the spider to the fly; you are just in time for dinner :}
What are we serving? No worries, mate, it is a family recipe.

It is an interesting paradox that many therapies work with the presenting problems of their client, what I will call the cobwebs or spider webs.
Unfortunately, 'the spiders' are left alone and the webs come back, flies are invited to dinner and the process begins again.

In the case of a client who wants to stop smoking, 'abusive alchohol consumption' or nail bighting' - we can use hypnotherapy and provide a state of cessation related to these 'habits' or 'addictions'.
Fine in & of itself, however, what was the benefit, or secondary gain that supported the habit of 'smoking'

There is a benefit for everything we do - no matter how great or even evil it may seem!
The Positive Intention will always be satisfied over the desired change ... unless the desired change satisfies the intention.

Again: Whatever a person does has an underlying benefit, regardless as to the appearance of risk to health, relationships or others,

So what is the miracle cure?? John Grinder has named his part 'New Code NLP', I have blended this with other Meta Physical interventions and understandings and called it IDC -
{or} Intra Dimensional Clearing {before I knew of JG’s new Code, which I believe simply supports my method

Do you have PTSD? Would you be willing to answer a Questionnaire? How about just one question?
Would you be willing to answer a Questionnaire? How about just one question?

What would be one aspect of PTSD that, if were no longer an issue for you, would allow the rest to be manageable?

Premise: All change workers are aware that the ‘client’ has to give permission to self in order to accept the change. PTSD is a dis ease of the mind/body, maintained in the left part of the mind. Evidence indicates that NLP, Time Line, Hypnosis, EFT, EMDR, Reki and other forms of CAM or complementary Medical Alternatives have been used with varying success.

However, just like taking a Placebo, there seems to be substantial evidence that an Internal Belief that ‘this will work’ is a basic requirement for any process to make a change, even PTSD symptomatology.

Did you know that there is research on giving a person morphine, telling then it is on a placebo and the drug has little noticeable effect as well as offering a sugar pill or placebo and telling the person it is morphine and it works as ‘a real’ dose would?

From my memories of childhood, I was brought up in a dysfunctional family. I was ‘convinced’ at some level that had the IQ of a cucumber which was possible a phase I would hear my brother use when discussing my lack of intelligence, of course compared to his J. Over time, this seemed to be supported and conflicted by what I appeared to be capable of doing or accomplishing in school, in part based on what the teacher believed was true. Was it just a belief that I accepted or was it reality?

So, over time, I became fascinated with the abilities of the human mind and accepted that it is Beautiful Beyond Belief. My curiosity of how I was able to excel at some subjects yet fail at others which seemed similar was a fascination. Once, I watched as my fearless mother developed a phobia of small four legged things in moments – mere minutes from wielding a broom to screaming helplessly on a chair. The brain can exhibit instantaneous learning’s. Fear has three components of action, not two. Yes there is Fight and flight however there is also frozen and I believe memories that have sustained PTSD are Frozen in time.

Thus is my desire to learn more, I study how the mind works – working on how to remediate the neural imprints that were perceived at an early age. I have been a patient as well as a student of psychology, hypnotherapy and other.

In the study of NLP:  I learned that there are two specific types of motivation that, if modified, change response. One is what is referred as “Moving away From” and the other is “Moving Towards”. In moving away from, we find distance, relief, a sense of peace and then>>> like a rubber band has been stretched to its limit, what we were moving away form is back in our face, just ‘As IF’ it was happening all over again. I believe this is one way PTSD occurs.I learned that an Anchor is formed so that a portion of the original stressor can invoke the full experience. So can you agree that PTSD symptomatology is invoked through an event – called an anchor. Just as we are ‘conditioned to stop at a RED LIGHT and proceed forward through a GREEN LIGHT or proceed with caution through a FLASHING YELLOW LIGHT, we have preconditioned responses.

Mental Health is a young science of perhaps 160 years just in case you wanted to know. Granted people have been trying different techniques, some I shuttle to consider.

In the past 40 years, I learned things like actually words can be pictures in themselves – I was told of a picture being 1000 words, the reverse is also true. Just say Sunrise and a living picture can appear, perhaps with you and a significant other standing on a Vista feeling the chill as the sun rises. Okay, take the verb proDUCE, make it a noun by changing the tone inflection – PROduce. English is an interesting language that allows for deletion, distortion & generalization of what is being conveyed. So even internally, we may not be communicating effectively with self.

In NLP, there is a conversation referred to as surface structure and deep structure. A ‘Belief System’ can be hidden within the deep structure when a person makes a casual statement – “that makes me depressed” or “they say I have depression”. A question to be asked is How, What, Where “specifically”.

Take an “unspecified verb” they call nominalizations where a verb becomes a noun, something I can hold, touch, see, measure. Like stress is not really a real object but more of a metaphor or figure of speech coined from a term in physics – strain would be a better phrase and is occasionally used also. So can I “have stress” or do I have emotional symptoms caused by stressors.

Many experts endorse the original definition proposed by Hans Selye in 1926: STRESS IS THE NON-SPECIFIC RESPONSE OF THE BODY TO ANY DEMAND PLACED UPON IT.

I accepted a position of organizer for a PTSD meet up group in San Francisco and soon found I did not have sufficient information to be effective. I have had my share of Traumas & Abuses, I have been assigned into a few DSM categories and seen a few mental health professionals to assist me in my journey for clarity into the “What the Bleep was that about” in dealing with the past and how to create a comfortable present/future.I have requested information from what individuals and groups that I believed would provide information and was surprised at the lack of response.

However, there is many ways to compile information so I have taken a different approach to educate myself on PTSD.
I want to share information I am compiling on how to remediate symptoms of PTSD.

In my opinion, the issue seems to be that *PTSD has multiple symptoms according to the *DSM so it seems reasonable to offer an opinion that PTSD is difficult to discuss as one might address ‘depression’. There are two basic processes in research that I can use. One is inductive reasoning, specific to general and the other is deductive reasoning, general to specific.

Not everyone who has experienced a trauma will develop PTSD, this is a known fact. Some people who have had PTSD for an extended period of time have been able to release its grip. Research is being done to determine the why and how. I would like to share some of the findings so that at least for the some one method or the other will work. Ultimately, this is what NLP is about – a study and sharing of excellence techniques.

Thus, my question above is intended to unpack the molecules, separate them into basic elements and address them as individual issues that are clumped together.I am a Life Coach, A Spiritual Advisor, A Resource Guide, I am a researcher – I believe all healing is done internally by a systematic process of the other than conscious mind through a process of algorithms.

To be CLEAR: I am not a Medical Doctor or Mental Health worker and maintain no licenses to practice in either field.

Preface*PTSD is a term used by the American Psychiatric Association's (APA) Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM)

What is post-traumatic stress disorder, or PTSD?

PTSD is an anxiety disorder that some people get after seeing or living through a dangerous event.

When in danger, it’s natural to feel afraid. This fear triggers many split-second changes in the body to prepare to defend against the danger or to avoid it.

This “fight-or-flight” response is a healthy reaction meant to protect a person from harm

But in PTSD, this reaction is changed or damaged. People who have PTSD may feel stressed or frightened even when they’re no longer in danger.
War, Hurricanes, Tsunamis, Earthquakes have been occurring throughout history, whether the trauma experienced in ‘man made’ or from nature, trauma takes it toll on the human psyche In the last decade, the United States has experienced a series of man-made and natural disasters. Large numbers of people in this country have been exposed to potentially traumatic events. It’s natural to have some of these symptoms after a dangerous event. Sometimes people have very serious symptoms that go away after a few weeks. This is called acute stress disorder, or ASD. When the symptoms last more than a few weeks and become an ongoing problem, they might be PTSD. Some people with PTSD don’t show any symptoms for weeks or months.

Who gets PTSD?

Anyone can get PTSD at any age. This includes war veterans and survivors of physical and sexual assault, abuse, accidents, disasters, and many other serious events. Not everyone with PTSD has been through a dangerous event. Some people get PTSD after a friend or family member experiences danger or is harmed. The sudden, unexpected death of a loved one can also cause PTSD.

What are the symptoms of PTSD?PTSD can cause many symptoms. These symptoms can be grouped into three categories:

1. Re-experiencing symptoms:
  • Flashbacks—reliving the trauma over and over, including physical symptoms like a racing heart or sweating
  • Bad dreams
  • Frightening thoughts.
Re-experiencing symptoms may cause problems in a person’s everyday routine. They can start from the person’s own thoughts and feelings. Words, objects, or situations that are reminders of the event can also trigger re-experiencing.

2. Avoidance symptoms:
  • Staying away from places, events, or objects that are reminders of the experience
  • Feeling emotionally numb
  • Feeling strong guilt, depression, or worry
  • Losing interest in activities that were enjoyable in the past
  • Having trouble remembering the dangerous event.
Things that remind a person of the traumatic event can trigger avoidance symptoms. These symptoms may cause a person to change his or her personal routine. For example, after a bad car accident, a person who usually drives may avoid driving or riding in a car.

3. Hyperarousal symptoms:
  • Being easily startled
  • Feeling tense or “on edge”
  • Having difficulty sleeping, and/or having angry outbursts.
Hyperarousal symptoms are usually constant, instead of being triggered by things that remind one of the traumatic event. They can make the person feel stressed and angry. These symptoms may make it hard to do daily tasks, such as sleeping, eating, or concentrating.

Sharing your fears and expectations with selfworth
One of the many tools in the NLP 'tool box' is personal learning’s of self:

Thoughts to consider are:

what are you afraid of gaining?

what are you afraid of losing?

What are you afraid of Not gaining?

What are you afraid of Not losing?

Are limiting beliefs and old statigies holding you back?

It is one of the NLP 'tools' to reveal and attend to persons limiting beliefs.

I find that it is actually fun to work in concert with individuals to discover an alternate ‘self’ that was successful in an earlier time to protect the individual.

T
he previous success then became a strategy to resolve apparent similar conflicts. As the ‘whole’ becomes subservient to ‘the part’ that was successful,

Thus, the ‘Part' is allowed to continue as the solution while ‘the whole’ remains in conflict.

“Spirituality is based on our intuitive knowing that there is more to our existence than what is dictated by our five senses of sight, hearing, taste, smell and touch.

Merely inquiring as to what spirituality is suggests that you are spiritual.

It is the act of contemplating our own existence.

Since the beginning of time, humans have asked perplexing questions.

Why are we here? What is our purpose?

What is our role in this universe?

Contemplating the meaning of life is in essence being spiritual.

Of all organisms, perhaps we alone are aware of our own existence, that perhaps are spiritual at some level”

For Me,

I am on a journey to find & learn the "Unknown Known’s" of Multiple Spiritual Disciplines and bring them into my realm of Esoteric Spiritual Christianity that embrases all beliefs of existance
